Wijnhuis Menade is in 2005 opgericht, maar kent een bijzonder lange voorgeschiedenis. Dit familiebedrijf wordt gerund door de familie Sanz, bestaande uit de broers Marco en Ricardo en zusje Alejandra. De formele familiegeschiedenis begint in 1820, toen hun voorouders wijngaarden verzorgden op een grote verscheidenheid aan locaties die tegenwoordig deel uitmaken van DO Rueda. Met wijngaarden die zich op meer dan 700 m boven zeeniveau bevinden, streven ze naar een evenwicht tussen het snoeien en het behouden van een groene dekking. Ze hebben koper en zwavel vervangen door biodynamische infusies en ze voeren testputten uit om tekortkomingen in de bodem op te sporen en planten te introduceren om deze te oxygeneren en als natuurlijke compost te dienen. De gebroeders Sanz zijn grote voorstanders van biologische bestrijding van stamziekten. Na het snoeien zuiveren ze bodems en wijnstokken met ozon en behandelen ze met trichoderma, een snel replicerende schimmel die mogelijke aanvallen voorkomt. Ozon wordt ook tijdens de groeicyclus gebruikt als een natuurlijk ontsmettingsmiddel tegen schimmels en bacteriën.De vinificatie van Menade Rueda Verdejo Ecologico
Voor de productie worden 3 oogsten uitgevoerd, één wanneer de druiven onderrijp zijn, één keer overdag, handmatig gedaan en uiteindelijk één 's nachts door mechanische techniek. Wanneer de druiven worden verzameld, worden de druiven flink gekoeld voordat ze worden geperst. Alcoholische gisting vindt plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks met wilde gisten (uit eigen wijngaard) bij 18 en 22 graden. Later rijpt de wijn korte tijd met zijn droesem. Het is een waar feest om te mogen serveren, want de meeste flessen blijven in Spanje, mede omdat de kwaliteit loep en loep zuiver is. Het feest begint al bij het open maken van de fles, zodra het sap lucht krijgt komt er een stuivende geur vrij van citrus en wilde bloemen. In het glas kleurt hij prachtig helder goud met een lichte groene schittering. Geurend naar de mooiste indrukken van appel, limoen en grapefruit aangevuld met groene kruiden en kruisbessen. De smaak is tongstrelend, mooie frisse aanzet op de tong met nuances van tropisch fruit, citrus, grapefruit en wilde kruiden. Het einde is lang en toont pittige minerale tonen.Shipping Notes

Very nice but -

Got it today. Just put it to use and made some cold brew. Looks nice and sturdy and doesn’t leak. Has a great large capacity to make a lot of cold brew. Lid closure is great and seals nicely. Very easy to use and user friendly. The plastic material is very thick feeling so that tells me it will withstand quite a bit. I like it so far.
My only issue is as soon as I opened the box and pulled the spoon out, it was broken. The bottom stand is completely broken and barely stands up. So that’s disappointing. Otherwise, seems very nice.

Reliable and Easy to Use Cold Brew Coffee Maker

This cold brew maker is easy to use and does the job well. I get smooth coffee every time without bitterness. The size is good and fits in my fridge without taking much space. The filter works well and keeps most of the grounds out of the coffee.
Cleaning is simple and does not take much time. The build feels solid for daily use. I like that I can control how strong the coffee is by changing the water and coffee ratio.
One thing to know is that you need coarse ground coffee for best results. (I use Bizzy coffee) Letting it steep longer makes the flavor better. It is not insulated, so you should keep it in the fridge while brewing.

Best cold brew brewer out there

One of my favorite purchases in a long time. This coffee maker is just a perfect size and it can be put in the fridge in any direction, on its side, on its top, whatever. It does not leak and it's very easy to clean. Just a superior product all the way around.

Great cold brew maker!
So far this has been a big improvement from a different brand cold brew maker I had. It is simple and easy to used doesn’t leak. The coffee comes out tasting great! It has a smart design that works well. It’s a great deal for how well it works. It is big enough to last all week but not take up to much space in the fridge.

Air gets trapped in the filter so it won’t fully steep

Filter doesn’t let air out. It’s weird about all these positive reviews bc I tried cold brewing tea two times overnight but the filter holes are so small that basically it traps a large air bubble inside with the tea leaves. The water was barely steeped. It was weird enough to the point where I thought there must be a clear film on the filter that I hadn’t removed. When I loosen the lid all do the air rushes out and it fills w water, but when you tighten the lid any air inside with your grounds/leaves is trapped and prevents steeping. I kept thinking it was me based on all of these positive reviews but I could not prevent the massive about of air from getting trapped in the filter. If they made the holes bigger (not too big to let grounds out but currently you could mistake it for plastic film) then it would’ve been perfect. Nice size and about what I’d drink in a day or so. Change the filter hole size to let air flow out and I’ll buy it back!
