EarthQuaker Devices is proud to announce an international collaboration with KGR Harmony and, through them, Oitomi Ironworks. Together, they have developed a custom run of cast-iron enclosure Plumes pedal, exclusively for Filling Distribution's dealers. KGR Harmony, founded by Keijiro (KG) Fukushima, is based in Iwate, Japan, and specializes in handcrafted guitar pedals. Kejiro's strong interest in the long-debated topic of how enclosure materials affect tone led him to Oitomi Ironworks. Oitomi is known for handcrafting traditional and modern-style iron teapots and kettles, referred to as Tetsubin, using Nanbu-tekki" techniques dating back over nine hundred years. "We wanted to collaborate with KGR Harmony to create these extra special pedals using the traditional Nambu-tekki production method. We were drawn to the attention to detail and craftsmanship carried through generations, drawing inspiration from using a traditional technique in a new way." - Julie Robbins, CEO for EarthQuaker Devices KGR Harmony and EarthQuaker Devices began working together to develop enclosures for the Plumes and Plumes pedals, which were showcased at EarthQuaker Day 2024. The few pedals made for the showcase generated a lot of excitement and sold out immediately. Soon after, Jamie Stillman and Julie Robbins travelled to Japan and watched in person as the enclosures were cast for this special run of pedals. Easiest DIY ever

So a Toyota dealer will want $40+ to replace this filter, but for $10 and 2mins you can easily do this yourself.
There’s a great 1:30 how-to vid on the YouTube, drop the glove box (one push) open the little door, remove old filter (note the arrow) and put in the new one, close door, close glove box, enjoy better flow and fresh air. This filter is a HEPA so it’s a performance upgrade over the OEM, fit is perfect, seems sturdier than the OEM, great value if you’ve got 2mins.

the "fit" is very precise

Nice Fabrication, Good materials, perfect adhesive applications, "clean joints" etc.
Appears to be a good UPGRADE from the stock Motorcraft product.
CONs: The FIT was a "smidge TIGHT", and took very precise initial alignment and "pressure" to begin to slide into the rectangular hole. I measured the "Hole" at 7.375" wide, or (187.33 mm)... the FILTER is exactly the SAME.
I would suggest maybe reducing the Width by 1 mm, to allow for an easier installation.
The MOTORCRAFT uses an "open-cell" foam structure for the (2) Side pieces on their filter assembly, allowing some "compression to fit", of the Width, easing the difficulty of installation, yet still filling all voids.
In summation, the "fit" is very precise. Not to be hurried or rushed, maybe a bit meticulous for the impatient or weak of heart.

Breathe Easy!

Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up, because we're about to embark on a whirlwind adventure of cleaner air and contortionist-worthy installation feats with the Spearhead HEPA Breathe Easy Cabin Filter!
First off, let's talk about installation. If you're someone who loves a good yoga session or considers themselves a Cirque du Soleil dropout, this is the filter for you. The instructions are so clear and helpful that even a goldfish could follow them. However, be prepared to twist and turn in ways you didn't know your body could. And let me tell you, I'm not in the best of shape. I discovered muscles I never knew I had and positions that would make a pretzel jealous. But don't worry, it's all worth it.
Once installed, my car’s air quality shot up faster than a rocket to Mars. And although my car is old and doesn't have any fancy AI, it felt like it was saying, "Ahh, finally, some quality air!"
