- The backlit LCD with 8-character, 13 segment aliases and icons provides an easy-to-read channel, function and FleetSync® messaging display day or night.
- For extra convenience, a 4-step battery status indicator notifies the user immediately of the amount of charge remaining by visual indication (icons) or tone alert.
- The TK-2170/3170 is built to survive the hard knocks, drops and all weather environments of its users. It meets or exceeds the stringent IP54/55 dust and water intrusion standards and the MILSTD 810 C, D, E & F environmental standards including the demanding "driven rain" test.

- Kenwood's FleetSync® digital signalling system includes PTT ID digital ANI for instant radio call identification and Emergency status for personnel safety. FleetSync® also includes status messaging, selective calling and short/long text dispatch messaging features. Emergency Calling notifies a dispatcher of personnel in distress by activation of an orange colored emergency key.
- In addition to FleetSync® , the TK-2170/3170 includes industry standard signalling formats: QT/DQT, 2-Tone (encode/decode) can be utilized for talk groups, system access and selective calling. DTMF permits DTMF PTT ID, telephone interconnect operation, individual/group selective calling and remote radio disable/enable (remote stun).
- Multi-channel call monitoring can be customized for users with single/multi-zone scan and delete/add scan features. Priority Scan automatically checks a primary channel for activity while receiving a call on a non-priority channel. Convenience features such as Priority-channel Stop Tone, Temporary Delete, and Revert Channel Display facilitate userfriendly operation and eliminate confusion.
- The TK-2170/3170 offers a lightweight Li-Ion battery (KNB-24L/35L), ideal for low-temperature environments; a durable Ni-Cd battery (KNB-25A); and a powerful Ni-MH battery (KNB-26N) for extra-long life.
- The built-in voice inversion scrambler provides basic protection against casual eavesdropping.
- Kenwood's plug-in option port makes the compatible after-market board installation quick and simple.
- The TK-2170/3170 offers convenient hands-free operation with a compatible headset. The TK-2170/3170 internal VOX (voice-operated transmission) circuitry provides automatic PTT and a 10-level sensitivity adjustment for different ambient noise levels.

Best wax ever - not kidding!
We have 2 classic cars we restored and put in shows, along with our regular daily drivers. Some of the cars are darker colors, like grey, blue, or black, and the others are white and a light seafoam green. The problems I've had with other waxes, including other higher end products was streaking, and not being able to remove the swirls. Not so with Black light. This is hands down the best wax I have ever used.
The application is simple, and I've done it in shade as well as sun, both with excellent results. Use a microfiber applicator to apply, thin, not thick coats in a circular motion. Then wait - let it set for 15 minutes. Final step - use a clean microfiber cloth to remove. It removes so easy, and leaves no swirl or haze like other waxes. The depth of shine is also noticeable. It makes the paint smooth with a deep shine, no matter the color or if its metallic or not. It just looks great. Bonus - it even smells great!
I was so impressed I ordered a few more of their products and we'll be testing those shortly. For years I've bought and tried almost everything at stores and car shows and nothing impressed me. Black Light impresses me so much I'll be using it exclusively from now on. It's really that good.

AMAZING!
I have tried a lot of products and always looking for the next great purchase to keep my 2000 Boxster (black in color) looking its best. Just finally used it and I am IMPRESSED! This stuff goes on easily. You use very little product and it cleans off easily. Leave an AMAZING shine and really makes the black look deep. I am vey happy with this product.

Must buy
Awesome, Awesome Product!!! The shine is amazing. I was going to apply it with a hand buffer, but instead attempted to do it by hand. The manual labor was amazing. I can’t wait to drop the orbital buffer on it next.
A must but for Black or dark paint colors!

No gimmick
It works very well. While it leaves the paint very slippery and shiny, the best part about this product is how easy it is to buff off. I have used many products and nothing comes off as easily as this. And it also smells incredible. Clay bar beforehand is essential to make buffing it off effortless. Make sure you use the correct pad and use very little pressure or spreading it will be difficult.

Black 2009 Chevy Avlanche-Better the Second Day
Okay... Let me say this first and foremost, this is a decent product. Of Course Chemical Guys makes some extremely over -the-top claims. However, no product can do all the things that Chemical Guys claim their products can do. Regarding this product, Black Light DOES NOT remove scratches and swirl marks... I know Chemical Guys tell you it do, but it DOSE NOT, however it did blend and reduce the appearance of minor to moderate scratches and swirl marks... The product reduces them very well. I was pleasantly surprised by this so that was good... Now the shine.... At first I wasn't overly impressed by the shine it left, but then I went back about 2 hours later and did another pass with my microfiber towel and took at step back and was like hmmm, not bad.... The second day there was some dust from over night on my truck (Black 2009 Chevy Avalanche), I wiped the dust off and I was I couldn't believe it looked better the second day. Now you can't always take another persons word on the quality of the shine/gloss look because we all have our own perspective on what looks good. Now it wasn't hard to apply... I used an applicator....Put on and light to moderate coating.... I let it sit for about 45 minutes...(I got distracted with other things) the directions say 15-20 minutes... It was not hard work getting it off, but it took slight work, maybe because I left on for double the time.... Overall, this product is decent, I have only used it once on 04/05/18 and today is 04/06/18. We are expecting rain and snow tonight, lets see how it holds up after that... But over-all I will give it another shot when the weather breaks, but this time, I will add the Chemical Guys'16 Hybrid V7 Optical Select High Gloss Spray Sealant after and see what kind of shine/gloss it will leave.... I never read the 5 Star Reviews because its mostly people who work for the company or paid by the company to write... 2 star, 3 star and 4 star reviews; you can get a more of an honest picture of the product... I hope this feedback help.... I do like it after one use, and I will use it again after the weather breaks, then I will write another review to give an update on how it held up after snow and rain...next time, ill add a pic...
