In this classic volume, a noted economist and teacher has combined a modern text for graduate courses in mathematical economics with a valuable reference book of analytical economics for professional economists.
Unique in its unified and careful presentation of a variety of techniques of economic analysis, the book is divided into two parts: chapters on mathematical economics (i.e. economic models analyzed primarily from the point of view of their mathematical properties) and appropriate mathematical reviews. To keep the exposition as smooth as possible, the economic analysis has been separated from the purely mathematical material -- permitting flexible use of the book as a text. Moreover, the chapters and reviews are designed as a self- contained system, wherein the reviews contain all the mathematics required for the chapters and the chapters illustrate the use of almost all the techniques set out in the reviews. An extensive mathematical background is not required; however, it is assumed the reader has some acquaintance with elementary calculus.
The economic analysis covers linear and nonlinear optimizing techniques, input-output, activity analysis, neoclassical and set- theoretic static economic models, modern general equilibrium theory, the Von Neumann and other models of balanced growth, efficient growth and turnpike theorems, and modern stability analysis.
The mathematical reviews include discussions of set theory, linear algebra, matrices, linear equations and inequalities, convex sets and functions, continuous functions and mappings (including neoclassical calculus methods), topological ideas, differential and difference equations, calculus of variations, and related topics.
Every attempt has been made to give a complete and rigorous exposition (except in topological methods where the approach is descriptive and heuristic) which omits no essential proofs or steps in the argument.

Best sunscreen brand! Fair, sensitive-skinned and rely on this

Alba Botanica is my favorite brand for sunscreen products and it checks all the boxes on my list: Excellent long lasting coverage, fine mist spray and easy coverage cream versions, great for my sensitive skin (no breakouts- I do NOT use it on my face though), the Hawaiian fragrance is pleasant, it’s reef safe (a big one for me as a snorkel/dive aficionado), and organic ingredients. The large size lasts 5 full days when on a boat all day in the Carribbean, and I only apply it twice (once in morning, and again midday.) I have fair skin, and I never burn. The spray version is, by nature of its aerosol capacity, a bit drying on the skin, but this is to be expected, and it creates a long lasting barrier. The cream version is a wonderful emollient, although not quite as long lasting. Best deal is only in the summer season at CostCo for a 2 pack... in my searches, Amazon has the best deal otherwise.

In most of all circumstances, this works

For Summer time and when playing and working in the sun, this is my go to sunscreen! I love how it is more natural than all the other ones out there. I have been sort of a spray on sunscreen connoisseur and this is the one that is my favorite. Also, if I have gotten a burn and put this on it, I believe it helps start the healing process on the burn I got. This is at least what I experienced multiple times last year. The only circumstance that this sunscreen fails miserably is in the Caribbean. I recently went on a cruise to that region and applied this sunscreen and it became evident that this and the other brands of spray on sunscreen do not work in Caribbean sun. The only sunscreen that works is the lotion based stuff that you rub into your skin. I have also consulted with friends on spray on sunscreen in the Caribbean and they all fail as well. So, this is why I say that it works in almost every circumstance.

I purchased 3 of these cans. Only one of them worked and that one was ok. Sprayed well, smelled good and and protected my skin and even though it was hard to press it to work, we WERE able to use it, but the other three .............? They would not rotate to the unlock position, therefore they would not spray. My husband and I tried everything to get it to rotate. It seems both the top and bottom ring spin around effectively doing nothing. So to pay almost $40 for only one can to work is definitley not worth the money. Buy somewhere else.

Sunscreen itself did a great job with our snorkeling and scuba diving. Long lasting and didn't rub off in spots where masks and other things can leave spots unprotected. However, the spray can itself was difficult. Even when being sure it was completely in the unlocked position, it would take me two thumbs at full pressure to get it started spraying at times. Definitely, only a couple of us in the party were the appliers as we could get it started.
