Haupteinsatzzwecke

Anschluss an APC-Infrastruktur: Er wird benötigt, wenn Sie ein Patchkabel mit einem blauen SC/UPC-Stecker (gerade Endfläche) an ein Gerät oder eine Dose anschließen müssen, die eine grüne SC/APC-Buchse (schräge Endfläche) hat.

Test- und Messumgebungen: Viele spezialisierte Messgeräte wie optische Leistungsmesser oder OTDRs verfügen über SC/APC-Ausgänge für maximale Signalqualität. Um dort Standard-UPC-Komponenten zu prüfen, dient dieser Adapter als hybride Schnittstelle.

Systemintegration: Er ermöglicht die Integration von älteren oder Standard-Netzwerkkomponenten (UPC) in moderne Hochgeschwindigkeits- oder Video-Netzwerke (FTTH/CATV), die konsequent auf APC-Technik setzen.


Probleme umgehen

Glasfaserverbindungen basieren auf einem präzisen physikalischen Kontakt (Physical Contact) der Faserkerne: 

Schutz der Hardware: Steckt man einen UPC-Stecker (flach) direkt in eine APC-Buchse (8° Schrägschliff), berühren sich die Fasern nur an einem winzigen Punkt. Dies führt zu bleibenden Kratzern und Materialverformungen an den teuren Gerätebuchsen.

Signalqualität: Ohne den Adapter entsteht an der Übergangsstelle ein Luftspalt. Dies verursacht eine extrem hohe Rückflussdämpfung (Return Loss) und eine hohe Einfügedämpfung, was die Datenübertragung instabil macht oder komplett unterbricht.

Overall, it is comfortable. However, I ordered a king sized which is 36" long, but this pillow is only 33". That's somewhere between a queen and kind size. Second, it is not a medium firm. It is more toward soft and lets the head drift down close to the mattress level Over time, you may have neck problems. Time will tell. Update: It is great! My neck feels better and I sleep better. There is still a little odor, but it's not a problem. I recommend this pillow.

I’m a really tough pillow critic and have a hard time finding one I actually like. With that said, this pillow was better than a lot of others I’ve tried—mainly because you can remove some of the latex shavings to adjust the firmness. I ended up taking out about 20% (do it over a big trash can because the shavings can get messy!). When it arrived it was too firm for me, which is why I had to take some filling out. Even after adjusting it, it’s still not my absolute favorite pillow, but I do use it every night as a “hug” pillow and it works great for that. I think people who aren’t as picky as I am will probably really enjoy it, especially since you can customize the amount of latex to get it just right. I’d give it 3.5 stars, but rounded up to 4.
